NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (June 1)- After stormy weather and playoff schedule conflicts, the Texas Brahmas Golf Tournament will be this weekend; Sunday, June 6th with a 1 pm shotgun start at Iron House Golf Course (off of Loop 820 in North Richland Hills).
Registration will be from 11:30 to 12:30 in the club house at Iron Horse. There will be prizes for the top 3 teams along with a lot of door prizes and $5,000 cash prize for a hole in one.
A silent auction will take place following the tournament along with a meal. Among the silent auction items will be a black game worn Matt Burto jersey, donated by the Brahmas forward. All of the proceeds from the Burto jersey on the auction block will go to the local Sophia Susan Laurila memorial fund; a charity developed by Brahmas former defenseman Tim Laurila and his wife Elli in memory of their daughter Sophia Susan Laurila. The fund benefits families with medical needs.
